Weixing Li

ex-Visiting Researcher


Weixing Li received the B.S. degree in Applied Physics, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 1999, 2001 and 2007, respectively. Currently, he is a Visiting Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley Lab, Berkeley, CA, and is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at HIT where he began to work in July 2001. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, from June 2008 to March 2010. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at State Grid EPRI, Nanjing, China, from June 2007 to June 2008. In 2002, he was working as a Research Assistant at the University of HongKong, China, for nine months. His research interests include power system reliability, distributed generation and microgrids, power transfer capability and voltage stability. So far, he has published 7 international journal research papers and 10 conference papers.
