DER at LBNL

Distributed energy resources (DER) refers to technologies which can be used to provide energy close to the energy consumer (load). These technologies including small power generators, energy storage units, interconnection and power control technologies, and combined heat and power (CHP) technologies.

The DER group at Berkeley Lab is developing ways to study customer adoption patterns of the technology.

This site serves as a resource to those interested in our work, and for those conducting their own DER research.
